::Childhood::

When she was a little girl Sakura was bullied by the other girls for her 'oversized' forehead and unnatural pink hair. A natural scared-cat Sakura's sweet nature was hidden and she hid her face behind tears and long pink bangs. Ino was the first person to ever acknowledge her and become the first 'anything' of a friend to the shy candy-locked girl.

Sakura saw her friend as something amazing and longed to be just like her; hating how she was so UN cool and didn't have her friend’s kawaii smile that would make you smile back. There was always a small jealousy to become just as good as Ino or even greater, but with Ino's kind ways- that she'd never been given- and a single red ribbon that revealed her own cute face (though she couldn’t REALLY believe she was as cute as other girls- maybe not so ugly though) their friendship blossomed and they were seen doing everything together from hanging out to picking flowers- another thing tiny Sakura had no talent in.

However as they got closer Ino introduced her to the other kids and after some extra work on her part- she wasn't just a 'crybaby' or another kid in their class- she was a girl who also got everyone attention and praise! With the claps and Ino's forever friendship the little girl grew more confident and fell in love. It wasn't any boy; no it was him- THE- Uchiha Sasuke. The aloof, frowning raven-haired boy with the face of angle...and he was so cool and smart. She ran to tell her friends not knowing that OTHER girls had also (obviously) fallen for the young Uchiha including her best friend. When she was told, Ino began to avoid her and there happy laughter and joyful playtime became awkward. Finally one day the new Sakura asked Ino to tell the truth about her feelings- and seeing the look of guilt and anger from the other girl-- they knew there friendship couldn't last now that they had decided to follow their hearts. To that day they became rivals, dislike for the other and an internal vow of "I won't give up Sasuke-kun!'

::Academy::

Then she was twelve! Now, it didn't happen in a second- several years...an on off meeting with Ino-c--PIG (like rivals couldn't run into each other when they're both stalking the same guy?) every once in a while, but the main goal in these years of school and the way of living to love-- was of course to impress Sasuke-kun! Everyone knew it now; Haruno Sakura was at the top #1 fan girl spot! Her closest completion Ino- but with such a sweet smile and lovely long hair (she had heard that’s what Sasuke likes!) how could she lose to these other wannabe? Then, there was her amazing intelligence- she was so good she'd almost yawn in boredom at the hardest problems. It was only under Sasuke-kun that her grades reached, everyone else was topped. One day, she was sure one day, soon he would look her way, past the large forehead...and he'd give her a kiss. She just wanted that one little kiss, or even at that rate maybe a smile? Oh, how her heart beat!

Then there was the graduation test which she passed with flying colors and she was a genin! Placed on the team with Naruto (who she couldn't stand) and Sasuke (the love of her life!) she met both for lunch, Naruto going on about having lunch with her and Sasuke nowhere to be found. She told Naruto he was annoying and went off to find Sasuke- some funny events happened with Naruto's "plan"; Sakura the oblivious- and it ended with Sasuke calling her annoying. It was then she realized she should be nicer to Naruto because hearing someone call you annoying wasn't a good feeling. However, when she did honestly try he acted like a gross idiot and ran off...

Soon after Team 7 was grouped together to meet their sensei and after Naruto's little prank team 7's respect for the Jounin was at a zero and he announced he hated them all. (Sakura kind of enjoyed the prank anyway) They introduced themselves, Sakura in her midst of giving a good first impression got incredibly distracted by Sasuke and ended up squeaking and blushing during her introduction- making Kakashi see her as just another lovesick girl. When the bell test came Sakura implemented very good hiding skills, but with her constant worry of Sasuke and unable to help any of her teammates (not like she'd help Naruto) she was completely useless. Kakashi gave them a condition, Naruto was the worst of the lot for falling for a bell trick so he couldn't have lunch, but after he left and Naruto complained about starving she saw Sasuke's 'generosity' and gave in announcing to Naruto it was 'only this once!' Kakshi appeared angry about Sasuke and Sakura not listening, but even Sakura stood her ground saying that they needed to take care of their teammate-- and team 7 passed.

::Genin::

Several small job missions were given, a trip to help an old man from being attacked where Sakura protected the old man but once again could do nothing but cry over an injured Sasuke, and then it was time for the Chuunin exams! (Sakura did prove however she had amazing chakra control; even more so than Naruto or Sasuke)

Her main thoughts still on Sasuke she asked for a date only to be turned down and degraded as worse than Naruto.

Depressed the next day over if she should really enter, it was surprising that of all people Sasuke-kun was the one to cheer her up by talking about her superb ability to see through allusions.

Sakura regained her spunk and went through with her head held high; meeting Lee who asked her for a date announcing his love...she however completely rejected him because of his UN cool appearance.

::Chuunin Exam::

A little intimidated as they finally entered the Chuunin exam room for the first test- the group met Kabuto and the question portion of the test began. It was easy for her after a little thinking but watching Naruto she feels a bit of pity for her teammate and decided she should raise her own hand and not let him go through the torture of answering these hard questions. However, he replied with full out confidence before she could do the task and everyone passed...on to the second test!

Death forest is difficult trials for Sakura, not only are they on constant guard from enemies, but this is also the first time she meets Orochimaru. Scared out of her wits Sakura is reduced to a pile of sob, only then rescued by Sasuke and watching in horror as after his victory he suffers a 'cursed mark. Sobbing for her crush’s pain and Naruto’s unconscious state Sakura takes it upon her self to take care of both of them. Staying up all night she watches over the boys soon attacked by a group of sound Nin and just when she thinks she's a goner Lee arrives. Watching him protect her and fight with so much she gains a respect for Lee and tries to help him when he's double teamed. Yet, she's too weak and her long hair is easily grabbed and pulled by the female of the sound Nins.

It is then watching Lee' in pain and thinking about her hurt teammates Sakura realizes what a horrible person she is- always watching other people's backs- how she lets herself be protected and calls herself better than Naruto and worth of loving Sasuke.

Drawing a kunai she cuts her pretty long hair and resolves that this time- it's her fight- their turn to watch HER. Giving everything she has she still loses, but Ino's team arrives to save her.

::Change::

Ino's team defeated the cursed Sasuke awakens asking Sakura 'who did this to you?' he then advances, not like before- more lethal and smirking at his opponents pain which scares her.

She runs to wrap her arms around him and get him to stop this brutal killing. After a moment he does and seems to be back to normal. It is somewhere around this time he tells her not to tell Naruto about the cursed mark. Ino calls her over about fixing her hair and they start fighting over Sakura's 'hug'. (Another big moment at this time when Sakura punches Naruto for calling Lee fuzzy brows- showing her new found respect for Lee-san) The other teams leave and Team 7 finally get their scrolls opening both and heading to meet the survivors.

Pre-match starts! Sakura is still afraid for Sasuke and tries to raise her hand to tell about his condition to which he rudely slaps away and tells her it's none of her business. Fighting tears she tries to become the stronger person she's resolved to be-- it is then the pre-match start and her fight comes against Ino!

At first Ino goes easy on her and with some flashbacks Sakura places her headband on her forehead and tells her rival this is NOT a fight for sasuke- they fight to their maximum and it ends in a tie-- upon waking Sakura almost cries thinking she lost, but Ino tells her the truth and that she's bloomed into a beautiful flower.

After this, even worried about Sasuke, Sakura cheers her hardest for Naruto’s match and even tells him thank you for helping her not lose to Ino; unfortunately he's clueless and makes her angry, but there relationship has definitely changed.

The finals begin some months later and Sakura worries for Sasuke, upon his arrival the fight of Gaara and Sasuke begin and the Sound attack. Revealed that she has the ability to use 'kai' (cancel) she's sent on a rescue mission with Naruto, Shikamaru, and Pakun. (It is then upon horrid realization she finds out her and the dog use the same shampoo) They make it to the battlefield (after Shikamaru helps them escape doing something pretty heroic...she misjudged him) to find an unconscious Sasuke- seeing Gaara attack; Sakura holds out a kunai and stands in front of her crush to protect him with her life. She is however cast aside and sent sailing into a tree slowly crushed by sand.

Later, she thanks Sasuke for saving her only to find out it was Naruto- earning some more respect for the blonde.

Some time passes, Sakura buys flowers for Lee, starts rebuilding her friendship with Ino, and finally gets sent on a not so lame mission with team 7! It is in this (filler) mission Sakura shows how much she's improved- using her smarts to save her and Sasuke from a deadly fall and also demonstrating some astounding strength that must mean she's been learning something under the Hokage. The mission unfortunately leaves Sasuke in pain and Sakura worries for him. The next day as she cuts up apples for her crush, when she goes to offer them he knocks them away and tells Naruto to fight him. Worried for both her teammates she runs in a tries to stop the attacks- luckily saved by Kakashi- Sasuke runs off and later Naruto tells her not to interfere again. Moping, Sakura picks up her resolve and finally reveals to Naruto about Sasuke's cursed seal. His confidence in Sasuke staying makes her feel a little better and she bids him good night, running off to know she'll run into a packed up Sasuke.

Upon their meeting he tells her to go to go home and sleep, she yells at him for leaving and tries a number of tactics (both guilt and semi-bribery) including memory of their old days to get him to stay. He harshly tells her they will be starting new paths; it is then she asks if she can go with him; that if he left she would know what it's like to be all alone. With a smirk he tells her she's annoying and Sakura confesses her love for him-no longer a crush but true honest love. When he keeps walking, tears in her eyes she runs after him saying she’ll scream and alert people to stop him. He appears behind her and tells her 'thank you' before knocking her out.

When she awakes she yells about Sasuke leaving and soon a team is put together to retrieve him. Before Shikamaru's team leaves she approaches the boys only to be told by Shikamaru himself that she can't go and she already did her part of trying to stop him. Crying she asks Naruto to do her just one thing and bring him back for her. To her surprise he makes it a promise of a lifetime and Sakura realizes Naruto knows her more than anyone.

When he returns without Sasuke and in horrible condition at first she panics and her mind goes blank- it when the Hokage opens the door and she follows in seeing Naruto’s state and his apologetic look she tries to make fun of him and act cheerful. Hearing that he'll keep his promise she smiles and nods knowing what she has to do.

Naruto catches her before she leaves and they're sent on a mission to find info on sound and Sasuke- in the end Sasuke realizes that she can't keep being so useless to Naruto and everyone and goes to Hokage to become her apprentice.
---- (DONE WITH PART ONE: Now my favorite~ time skip! <3)

Two years have passed and Haruno Sakura reunites with her teammate Naruto. Both have changed and Sakura has a certain admiration for the taller blonde; a little jealous of the cool new moves he must have and impressed by his maturity when Konohamaru performs sexy-no-jutsu. Unfortunately, he only proves to be more perverse and when Shikamaru admits to Naruto changing Sakura completely denounces it, though she has softened to the blonde and seems to be more playful with her friend. They meet Kakashi and take the bell test again, with some amazing teamwork (Sakura demonstrating said super strength by cracking the ground, and some well powered kicks and punches) and Naruto's 'thoughtful' mind; they both get a bell. Kakashi disappears on them to read his new book and like old times Naruto tries to ask Sakura for a date- she says yes if he pays.

Soon, they are alerted to Gaara's kidnapping and are send to Suna- arriving 'just' in time for Sakura to heal Kankuro of a deadly poison using a 'poison extraction' she created herself. She prepares some extra vials just in case and the group goes after the Akatsuki. Upon first meet Itachi Sakura helps the Chiyo use 'kai' to bring Naruto out of an illusion- later Team 7 plus Chiyo discovering a small part of the Akatsuki base and encountering Sasori and Deidara. They split, Deidara flying off and Sakura left to fight with Chiyo against Sasori.

During this battle Sakura reveals she definitely a girl to be reckoned with. She surprises both Chiyo and Sasori- first letting Chiyo use her as a puppet then evading amazingly well on her own without Chiyo's help, in the end she uses her super strength to destroy the puppet Sasori was in. He doesn't recognize her as anything but a little girl yet- Chiyo telling her to run and keep out of danger, but Sakura is determined and after finding out Sasori has knowledge on sasuke she demands him to tell her. During the fight she's hit and the poison goes into her system, Sasori announcing her dead in three days, but Sakura surprises him by coming out perfectly fine and revealing her antidote to the powerful poison. With that, she used her medical jutsu to heal her and Chiyo's wounds standing to fight once more- with Sasori intrigued she charges to dodge traps and break apart anything in her way; winning in the end after finding out Sasori's weakness. However, Sasori isn't about to give up and he sends his sword at Chiyo, but Sakura jumps in front of her and takes the sword asking if Chiyo is okay. Sasori is surprised that not only is Sakura caring for someone else in her state, but she also already began to heal where the wound is. Impressed and calling Sakura 'some girl' he tells her what she wanted to know before he dies.

Later, unable to heal Gaara she cries at the loss of Chiyo who sacrificed herself to save him- wishing she could have been more useful so then this wouldn't have happened. Holding the old woman close, like her own relative she knows Chiyo will forever be in her heart.

Now we come to the current point, Sakura has been sent with Naruto and her two new teammates Yamato and Sai to retrieve Sasuke. Upon first introduction of being called 'ugly' Sakura disliked Sai and took up Naruto's side; smiling at Sai innocently then rewarding him with a punch for making a crude comment about Sasuke.

Okay, there is definitely something wrong here. I mean I haven't been in school since I was twelve! There is absolutely no way, at all, completely impossible that I could ever be at a school I've never seen before. So, why won't it work when I try 'cancel?!' This has to be an illusion or a dream.

No, it couldn't be a dream or Naruto's snoring would have woken me up five minutes ago.

So then I'm trapped in a genjutsu, but I can't escape...maybe me hands are tied so I can’t release by using Kai?

WHAT KIND OF PERVERT ENEMY WOULD DO THAT?! #

I mean, sure it's Sound, but come on this is going to be ridiculous if I can't break free of simple genjutsu! Naruto-kun? Sai? Yamato-sensei? Kame, where are you? It's not even day time here...kind of creepy...

and it's kind of boring...

Damn it, I can't be stuck in some trick! We have to go bring Sasuke back! I'll get out of this and when I do I'm ringing the weak ninja's neck that put me here! Tch, really who the hell attacks people heading to a hot spring? Yamato-sensei we should have just kept going.

I wonder if everyone's okay though...grr standing around here won't help anything! I guess I can move in this, so maybe I can find someone too.

I have GOT to stop talking to myself.

The sooner I get out the sooner I can find everyone and we can keep going toward Sound.

I wonder if they're worried about me?

If they got the luck to be stuck with Naruto-kun he must be yelling their ears off by now...~ x
